Admin OKITO LIM congratulates the launching of his new domain thegwk.com

Today, Admin OKITO LIM is proud of the launching of his new domain, thegwk.com. The .com domain extension was purchased by the Google Wai Kit Team on August 2026, and it has secured a 3-year contract with GoDaddy Inc. in Arizona, United States of America, and an option to continue the domain usage for the following years ahead.

Previously, the domain thegwk.tk has helped the Google Wai Kit Team to offer free hosting services and domain rental that supports the development of QQ Care Centre digitally. The .tk domain was from Freenom, where the Google Wai Kit Team has secured a 13-year contract to use thegwk.tk domain for free until the Year 2033.

However, the Google Wai Kit Team is planning to stop the usage of thegwk.tk by the end of 2026. Unfortunately, many attackers have abuse the .tk domain extension.

• Because of the loose re­stric­tions and free domain access offered by Freenom, the .tk domain extension have been used for fraud­u­lent websites, es­pe­cially for phishing and scamming sites. • To prevent the reputation of the Google Wai Kit Team being affected, it is decided that a .com domain extension is now the best time to be purchased, given that most portal websites are developed.

• The Google Wai Kit Team, along with the Communications, Information and Digital (CID) Department will move all of the portal websites, DNS and subdomains from thegwk.tk to thegwk.com starting September 2026. This process will take up the time until the end of this year.

• In the following months ahead, the CID Department will ensure that members of QQ are updated with the latest digital developments so that they can have accessibility towards our portal websites.
